You can eat really well here! Because of Corona, there was only a small menu, but it had a bit of everything. The dishes are freshly prepared and are really tasty and the portions plentiful, at reasonable prices. The staff is friendly and also available for a chat ... Although there was a lot to do. And if you can still sit outside ... priceless !!!

Little blackforest restaurant right at the end of Wilhelmer Tal (valley) at one of the entries to climb the Feldberg, so it's the perfect spot to fuel up with some food and energy after a day of hiking. The mixed salad was awesome, the pork schnitzel good even though quite thick and the brägele were roasted nicely with that nice mix of char and chew.

Very small and cosy traditional Black Forest restaurant with genuine and original kitchen that might have been quite similar a hundred years ago (for advanced connoisseurs of the local cuisine, or if you are simply very hungry, try the "Holzfällersteak", it will be an incredibly yummy and very rich experience, make sure to order plenty of house wine with it). The small farmhouse is huddled in a steep valley, surrounded by the tallest peaks of the area, which contributes to the rugged and secluded atmosphere. If you plan to come for dinner, do yourself and the owners a favour and give them a quick call for reservation - being a small place, seats are limited.
